This year’s Deaf Awareness Week (DAW) is nearly here! From 14–20 May, we’re raising awareness and challenging perceptions of hearing loss and deafness across the UK.

We have a range of DAW events lined up, including our very first comedy night headlined by Stewart Lee in London (sold out event!). We also have some eye-catching DAW materials for you to download and use if you’d like to run your own DAW event or raise awareness in your office, school or community. We’d love you to get involved!

There’s so much support, information and new technology available to help with hearing loss and deafness. Not everyone realises this, so we’re using DAW to spread the word. We’ll also be sharing the inspirational stories of people who’ve taken action and refused to let hearing loss or deafness hold them back – look out for our ‘I definitely can’ campaign on FacebookTwitter and Instagram.

If you – or your partner, parent or friend – have noticed the first signs of hearing loss or are struggling to take control, find out how we can help.

Please revisit this page during DAW and follow us on social media for news and updates!
