The objects of the charity are to provide and promote activities for the advancement of deaf people within Walsall and neighbouring districts. Supported by a select team of volunteers, WDPC provides a range of activities and services which include: bar & social club, senior citizens club, youth club, tinnitus group, British Sign Language training, Deaf Awareness training and Deaf/Blind communication training.

All WDPC Tutors are Deaf native Sign Language users, with a wealth of knowledge and considerable experience and skills in teaching all the programmes available.
