Provides a range of quality and value for money services for Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, Deafened and Deafblind people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and the East Midlands. These services include a full range of community support options for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people with additional needs. Action Deafness has also been proactive in delivering Communication and Sign Language Interpreting Services and Learning in CACDP registered British Sign Language Courses and Deaf Awareness Training. We also work closely with other local organisations and self-help groups/associations throughout. As an infrastructure organisation we also develop effective partnerships that will benefit Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deafened and Deafblind people. Its services/project also include: Advocacy, Children & Young People’s Activity Project, Youth Club, Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), Lip-Reading Courses and pastoral care. AD has been awarded The Matrix standard.
