The Hartlepool Deaf Centre aims to provide a focus for deaf related services and activities that will

• provide a welcoming environment in which members share responsibilities and leadership
• conduct business and activities in deaf people's preferred language
• give opportunities for deaf people to use and develop their skills
• offer a community based approach in promoting deaf awareness to the wider community
• give a voice to the deaf community in representing the diverse abilities and needs of the deaf children, adults and families of its membership
