Durham Deafened Support seeks out and brings together, people who have become isolated because of acquired hearing loss living in County Durham. We give support to the deafened person and their families while they are learning to cope and encourage self help through lip-reading classes, communication techniques and social events.

We teach communication tactics/deaf awareness in local schools and to Service providers. All Durham Deafened Support Tutors are CACDP and ALTA accredited.
