BID Services have arranged a number of events to mark Deaf Awareness Week, which is taking place from Monday 28th June to Sunday 4th July 2010.

Tuesday 29th June throughout the day will see Deaf staff from BID Services and the Deaf Cultural Centre visiting local schools in Ladywood to share signed stories with children.

FREE HEARING TESTS:

During National Deaf Awareness Week, Karen Finch and her team at the award winning Hearing Care Centre, in Ipswich, are launching a summer-long campaign to educate and raise awareness about hearing loss.
As part of the campaign The Hearing Care Centre are urging people who feel they may have a hearing problem, to do have their hearing tested sooner rather than later. Free hearing tests are available at all of THCC’s 13 branches across Suffolk during Deaf Awareness Week.
