Auditory Verbal UK (AV UK) is the only charity in the UK providing Auditory Verbal Therapy to children who are hearing impaired and their families. A national charity with an international reputation for expertise in the field, AV UK serves children from birth through the pre-school years. The majority of children cannot listen or speak when they first visit AV UK. Each child and their family receive an individualised, diagnostic programme of intervention, based on normal development, that is then delivered by the child’s family in close collaboration with their AV therapist - the aim being to achieve age-typical spoken language and enter mainstream school.

AV UK offers training to both parents and health and education professionals. Courses are run from the Charity’s Centre in Oxfordshire.
