This website has been designed and written by our own staff to give us complete control over the layout and content. It has been designed to be as accessible as possible and does not require a text version in order to be compatible with screen readers.

The entire website is Bobby Approved which means that it is accessible to people with disabilities. It is validated by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as Valid HTML 4.0 Transitional, and also conforms to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. We are also rated with the Internet Content Rating Association as being suitable for visitors of all ages.

It is our policy to respect and protect the privacy of our web site users. We will never willfully disclose individually identifiable information about our web site users without their permission. This policy statement tells you how we collect information from you and how we use it.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that people who communicate with UK Council on Deafness understand the way in which Electronic mail (e-mail) should be used. Its aim is to ensure that e-mail is used effectively for its intended purpose without infringing legal requirements or creating unnecessary business risk.

The statement below applies to all incoming and outgoing e-mail messages to or from UK Council on Deafness:
